The Ddesigny.com Team's Article AC system - Air Conditioning System That Is Long-Term

Here, Ddesigny.com discusses some of the key steps and necessary information about the

Advantages and Disadvantages Of AC Systems - Air Conditioning Systems

1. Ducted Split Unit Air Conditioning System

One of the most common air conditioning systems around the world is split duct or channel splits, which, like wall splits, consist of an internal unit (here the air conditioner) and an external unit called a condenser, which is made up of copper pipes. Are connected to each other. But like any other cooling system, this device also has its advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages

This system is completely independent of the central systems, and compared to the radiator, its heating efficiency is also higher.

In addition, the split duct heating piping is from the ceiling and the volume of hot water piping is reduced by using this device.

In addition, the final cost of setting up split duct with coil is almost half of the cost of chiller and mini chiller systems, which is one of the most important advantages of split duct.

Since an oil separator is used in the split duct, it provides the possibility of piping between indoor and outdoor units with a height difference of 15 meters, which makes the device work well in the long run.

In addition to providing sufficient cooling, this device has very strong heating and can save between 20-30% in electricity consumption in winter.

Split ducts can purify the air with the help of washable filters and create a space away from pollution. This device can be easily placed in any space and designed for the coldest and hottest areas.

Disadvantages

It is better to know that there is no possibility of zoom control in this device, which means that by turning on this device, all spaces, including all rooms, halls, corridors, etc., will be at the same temperature.

Since the air temperature is measured by a thermostat that is placed in the largest part of the house, this causes the biggest problem in the split duct, which is the same temperature of all parts of a building unit. .

We should also mention that this device consumes more electricity than chillers and mini chillers, but duct split electricity consumption is less compared to wall splits.

Another disadvantage of split duct is its sound, which is not recommended for small halls and places where silence is needed.

It is true that duct splits are one of the most common air conditioning systems, but the noise caused by the electric motor of the duct fan can deprive people of comfort due to their placement in the false ceiling.

2. Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Air Conditioning System

In a VRF AC system, which is a specific kind of heat-pump ac system, one outdoor unit is connected to several indoor units or AHUS. Users can operate each interior unit separately, and there is no need for ductwork. In order to adjust the coolant flow to the changing conditioning or heating requirements, either a single variable speed compressor operated by an inverter or multiple compressors with varying capacities is used. Big buildings with 50–60 internal units can need up to 1000 meters of refrigerant piping connecting them to their outside units.

Advantages

In contrast to other units, the VRV and VRF system is designed to support the systems and does not demand a wall-mounted grille.

The usage of refrigerants in the VRF or VRV system is seen as being more eco-friendly than other types with the new invention in the air-conditioning industry.

The installation of a VRF or VRF air-conditioning system has numerous additional advantages, such as improved cooling comfort, zone management, greater energy efficiency, flexible design that allows for future expansion of cooling requirements, and many more.

Disadvantages

The use of the VRF air conditioning system might not be ideal in a laboratory or medical facility.

To ensure the proper operation of the VRV or VRF cooling system for a long period of time, it is crucial that the installation and other tasks are carried out professionally.

Due to the substantial work involved in the installation procedure, a minor error could be challenging to identify.

If there are leaks, it could be challenging because of the difficulty during installation.

With its inventive approach, the VRF or VRV system is more expensive than a standard split air conditioning system.

3. Split Air Conditioning System

In definition, a split type air conditioner is a type of cooling unit which consists of two main bodies. They are the condensing unit and air handling unit. Air handling unit embedded in the air conditioner compartment, while the condensing unit was placed outside the room. The two units connected by the isolated cooling channel. The compressor and condenser are placed inside the condensing unit. The evaporator coil is placed in the evaporation unit. Condensing unit placed outside the room to create a low noise working system for the air conditioner itself.

Split Air Conditioning System

Advantages

It has a rectangle shape and is easy to install on your wall. The compact and simple

shape requires only a small space, unlike the air conditioner central type.

Split air conditioner installation process is much easier compared to the central type. Requires only the hole between the indoor and outdoor unit in an about 3 inch diameter as the connecting space.

Split Type air conditioner has a cooling efficiency level up to 30 percent compared to the central type. This is the result from an uninsulated connector on a central type air conditioner, which leads to an energy efficiency issue.

It can be less distinctive compared to the central type, which requires creating a hole in the wall for the air conditioner ventilation system.

Disadvantages

This air conditioner type may not be suitable for a high rise apartment. Due to a two main system separated from another and the hose connecting only

a certain length. So the user must place these two main frames quite close from one another.

Even though the inner part is quite quiet, the compressor is very noisy. So, you need to configure the compressor placement suitable for your neighbors not to be disturbed by the sound, even if it is placed outside.
